ADVANCED COCKPIT TECHNOLOGY

All of our training and rental aircraft utilize the latest and greatest glass cockpit technology. Their integrated moving map displays, WAAS GPS navigation, XM weather, airport databases, and ADSB traffic all act to support a critical improvement in the pilot's situational awareness. The Garmin autopilot further improves safety margins by reducing pilot workload during critical phases of flight. Our Cirrus Aircraft have the addition of an automatic yaw damper, electronic stability protection, a robust anti-icing system, and a full aircraft parachute system - designed to help avoid dangerous spins and recover from otherwise catastrophic events.

STREAMLINED TRAINING PROGRAMS

The thing about becoming a pilot is that there's a lot to learn - and  technologically advanced aircraft add even another layer of complexity. We know that learning is best done in an immersive manner, and our training programs are structured with that in mind. By maximizing simulator utilization and adhering to a strict training schedule - no less than two, 2.5-hour lessons per week in our Sling aircraft and dedicated full-time training weeks for in our Cirrus aircraft - we avoid the traditional pitfalls of poor knowledge retention, underdeveloped muscle memory, and frustratingly relentless repetition with no appreciable progress.

HIGH QUALITY INSTRUCTION

The best instructors create the best pilots. And while most CFIs (certified flight instructors) out there are good pilots, very few are good teachers. At Brandywine, a critical part of our mission is to create highly capable, highly proficient pilots; and as such we make it a point to recruit only the most knowledgeable and most effective teachers. If you've done any training previously, you'd likely agree that your instructor defines your training experience, and we want your training experience to be defined as nothing less than exceptional. Given the talent and experience of our staff, we're confident we've got that covered.

FINANCING OPTIONS AVAILABLE

Flying requires a considerable financial commitment, and that's a deal breaker for many aspiring pilots. But here at Brandywine, we've partnered with a local financial institution to bring you competitive rates on personal loans for our private, instrument, and commercial training packages. Because $500-1000 per month is much more comfortable than $15-35K out of pocket. Trying to string together funds as you go - which often delays and extends the training process - puts you on an expensive path to a license. While there's no doubt that aviation is an expensive hobby, the value and convenience it provides are well worth the investment.

Keivan is a highly experienced pilot uncommonly well versed in both the jet and piston worlds. Extremely knowledgeable, technically savvy, and entertaining to boot, you'd be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable person to fly with. His top-notch business acumen brings a practical, steadying hand to our flight school operations. Landing an SF50 at Smoketown? Yeah, he's done that.

Stephanie attended Embry Riddle - though we try not to hold that against her - where she studied Unmanned Aerial Science and Human Factors. She has served as an ambassador for Women in Aviation and, as an avid dog-lover, volunteers regularly for Pilots n Paws. She's a lover of travel and adventure...tennis, skiing, water-skiing,  skydiving - you name it, she's game.

A graduate of MCCC's Aviation Flight Technology program, Brittany has been working in the industry since 2015 overseeing dispatch and flight operations before getting her CFI and CFII. When she's not tied up here as our lead Sling instructor, you may find her handcrafting cocktails for patrons in center city, enjoying a rare day off at the beach, or embracing an opportunity for misadventure.
