PROGRAM OVERVIEW

We recognize that accelerated training programs aren’t a one-size-fits-all venture which is why we’ll work with you to develop an individualized training curriculum suited to your needs and accounting for your previous flight experience.

For those that are just beginning their instrument training, our accelerated training program will take you through all of the required material in just two weeks. If you've already started your instrument training, we strongly recommend still taking the course in its entirety so that you, too, can benefit from the more challenging tasks and skills mentioned above.

Training can be accomplished in your own Cirrus aircraft or we can provide an SR20 Perspective for you during the weeks you’re training. The full instrument course will encompass approximately 20 hours of simulator time, 30 hours of flight time, and nearly 50 hours of one-on-one ground instruction. For those that haven't already completed the instrument knowledge test, a 3 day written test prep add-on module is available.

Program Overview

CURRICULUM & TIMELINE

Our particular brand of training aims to get you as much exposure to "real world" flying as we possibly can. This will occasionally mean getting stuck overnight somewhere due to deteriorating weather. We'll make every effort to make it back to home base each night - unless you'd prefer to turn this into an "exploring the country" adventure which IS an option - but even so, we ask for your flexibility should we fail in this endeavor.

Our flight training programs are scheduled based on a 6 days on, 1 day off rotation with the “days on” requiring a 9 hour per day commitment of time (typically 8am-5pm) that includes a one hour break. We realize that setting this time aside can often be the most daunting part of the accelerated training platform so we encourage you to let us know how we can best accommodate your schedule.

The typical layout of our 2 week instrument course is depicted below.

Modifications may be made at the instructor's discretion.
